Heart Circle Sangha and Sarvodaya have partnered in
an effort to bring psycho-spiritual relief to the
survivors of the disasterous tsunami that struck Sri
Lanka on December 26, 2004 leaving many children
without parents and many parents who lost their
children.
Heart Circle Sangha has recruited a team of eight psychotherapists who are specialists in grief and trauma. These therapists are traveling to Sri Lanka in teams of two, four times a year to train the Sarvodaya counselors in techniques for working with intense grief and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The Sarvodaya counselors are visiting the affected areas and conducting programs to help the survivors. This program needs funding to continue. Please help by making a donation now. |
